Hi! My name is Becca Schmohe, and I am the owner of Rhea Lana's of Northwest Indiana. I am very passionate about the Rhea Lana's mission and I am a mom who loves helping other moms.

My desire is to add value to the lives of families by providing Upscale Children's Consignment Events in a highly-organized, friendly environment.

My husband Brandon and I live in Cedar Lake with our three wonderful kiddos: Jacksen (13), and our twins Jolene and Danielle (8). We live, go to school, and play LOTS of baseball/softball here in NWI. On most days of the week, year round, you can probably find us at a ball field, batting cage, or sports complex! We are fortunate to live on 6 acres so when we aren't playing baseball, we are fishing in our pond, gardening, riding 4-wheelers, or chasing chickens!

I discovered Rhea Lana's 13 years ago while pregnant with Jacksen. As a single parent and full-time student surviving on student loans, my mom suggested we check out a kid's consignment sale she found in a flyer. That visit was life-changing. I was able to find high-quality, gently used clothes and baby gear for Jacksen, stretching my tight budget significantly. The following season, I began consigning and was shocked by my first consignor check. Not only did I find an easy way to sell his gently used baby items, but I also made MORE money than I spent on his next season's wardrobe!
That season I also started volunteering (to waive my consignor fee), and quickly realized that Rhea Lana's was more than a consignment sale, it was a community. Twice a year, I helped with the sale and connected with other parents and grandparents who treated each other like family. This experience, alongside my incredible family, was exactly what I never knew I needed.

After meeting my amazing husband, getting married, and welcoming our twin girls, I relied on Rhea Lana's even more to purchase items in pairs. The savings and quality were unbeatable!

When we moved to Northwest Indiana in 2019, I continued traveling over an hour to shop at Rhea Lana's. I realized our area could benefit greatly from having its own Rhea Lana's event. My hope is that our event not only helps families earn extra money by selling gently used children's items but also stretches their budgets and fosters a sense of community to every person that walks through our doors!
